Martha's purple silk shoes, 18th century / without buckles

As a tribute to Martha Washington, we have recreated her wedding shoe. Martha Custis' glittering wedding shoes were haute couture, equivalent to today's most exclusive stilettos. Made from lush purple silk and covered in sterling silver braid and sequins, these heels were breathtaking. And because they only protruded wisely under a long silk petticoat, their power of seduction was increased. Our version wanted to be demanding to respect this mythical object. Martha's shoes are made of natural purple silk like the one worn at her wedding, lined with fine leather, the wooden heel is covered with silk. The shoe is embroidered with silver thread and decorated with silver metallic lace. There are only a few pairs per size from 36 to 41 so don't wait to grab yours! Attention you will need large buckles for your Martha shoes because this one comes without the buckles! The correct size buckles can be found in our shop.
